Definition and regularity of quasiconformal mappings in metric spaces

In this talk I will survey classical and recent results related to quasiconformal mappings defined on general metric spaces. It turns out that quasiconformal mappings have a higher degree of regularity than apriori expected. To determine the exact degree of regularity is in many cases still an open problem.
